the beginning

I've never really been comfortable with the idea of keeping a blog, but having been addicted to reading other peoples' for about eight years now I can't really give myself a good explanation as to why I'm not writing one. The obvious benefits of creating a journal in cyberspace are enticing, plus this seems like a good project to begin since a lot of my friends are scattered over the country. I don't have a clue as to the direction this will take, but it seems like fun.
